Kryptade really works – on farm testimonial

Among his farm activities, Rob raises calves including pedigree Jerseys. Each year they have a tendency to get scours and cryptosporidiosis has been repeatedly isolated. These calves are scouring and off food for far too long. In 2006 there was nothing around that had shown any benefits. When Kryptade was launched he was quick to try it.

He commented that it made so much difference that he could see calves starting to recovery the next day after he had given them their first 2 doses. While he wanted a total prevention package, he had to admit Kryptade was a great start – something to help calves recover.

He has continued to use it in 2007 and 2009.

Rob works hard to improve the recovery phase with special aftercare. He uses multiple small meals of milk of up to 4 small meals daily in the subsequent days to ensure they don’t relapse from milk overload. He is now developing an ad lib milk-feeding to these calves in the recovery stages.

Exagen Testimonial

I highly recommend Exagen as a preventative treatment for crypto in young calves  We get crypto every calf rearing season no matter what measures we put in place.  This autumn we used Exagen for the first time, Crypto did still go through the shed but the calves never lost their appetite, all calves got through the challenge well.  I put this down to the combination of using Exagen from birth for the first 3 weeks of rearing and the use of adlib Kryptade for 24 hours when the calves scoured.  Exagen is very easy to administer in the calves milk, no issue at all.

Out of the mob there were three quite weak ones. Two of these had to be tube fed and had been for the last four days. One of these guys was very lethargic.
I went and got the Kryptade ready for next morning. Tube fed both of them again for breakfast with Kryptade. By lunchtime (another Kryptade feed) the guy that was very lethargic was trying to get up and looked more alert and drank (with help) from a teat. The other one which hasn’t ever drunk properly – was up at drinker and drank by herself well.

I wished I had started them Friday – we may have been able to save the other two that we lost on Monday morning.

This morning – everyone was up at drink station position looking for their breakfast.

I can’t thank you enough
